Why I (Need to) Travel Slow

After visiting eight countries, earning a degree in tourism, and working in tourism marketing for four years, I found myself dreading upcoming trips. Shouldn’t travel be the reward for our busy 9-to-5 lives?

It wasn’t until I discovered that I’m neurodivergent, introverted, highly sensitive, and have sensory processing disorder that everything clicked. Traditional, fast-paced travel was overwhelming for me, and I realized the discomfort I felt was due to trying to keep up with a travel culture that didn’t fit my needs.

That’s why I created Slow Path Travel. I want to normalize another way of exploring the world—a slower, more mindful approach that is accessible to everyone, not just extroverts or neurotypicals. Travel can be joyful, peaceful, and enriching at any pace, and this blog is dedicated to showing you how.

Our Mission
